Round one -
Northern Arizona: This team can shoot. The Lumberjacks led the nation in three-point shooting, were second in field-goal percentage, and 136th in the RPI. UC never loses to teams it's suppose to blow out. That's the case here.
Round two -
Temple: We were worried the Owls and 'Cats wouldn't get together this year. Would have been a shame because they've met each of the last five years.and five times since the '94-95 season. The Bearcats have won five of those, but Temple won eight of its last nine regular-season games with that nasty matchup zone.
Sweet 16-
Utah: Keith Van Horn doesn't play there anymore, but some guy (Mike Doleac) who looks just like him does. Doleac isn't as good as Van Horn, and Utah isn't as good as it was last year.
Elite Eight -
Arizona: Remember the shot? And Miles Simon is still a Wildcats star.
Final Four -
North Carolina: Dean Smith's crew kept UC from going to the Final Four in 1993. That loss - 75-68 in overtime - is maybe the one defeat that Bob Huggins walked away from satisfied with the effort. It would take a similar effort to beat this UNC team.
Championship Game -
Kansas/Duke: Either way there will be a enough McDonald's All-Americans on the other side to run a McDonald's or an NBA franchise.
