Kenyon Martin, Pete Mickeal, Jermaine Tate and Ryan Fletcher — UC's four seniors — got framed photographs of themselves and hugs from coach Bob Huggins before their final home game.

Martin was practically in tears as he embraced his coach and teammates at midcourt. He went to the bench and covered his head with a white towel a couple minutes before tipoff, dabbing at his eyes.

UC also noted the contributions of senior manager Scott Wilhoit, who spent five years with the basketball team and also two seasons with the football program.

Wilhoit, 23, is from Anderson Township and will graduate with a degree in exercise physiology.

SLIPPERY WHEN WET: The game was held up for four minutes in the first half to wipe down the court after several UC players slipped and complained. Saint Louis players twice got called for traveling when they slipped in the second half.

NUMBERS GAME: UC set a new home attendance record with a capacity crowd of 13,176. That brought the season's attendance to 184,464, 100 percent capacity.

        • With 28 victories, UC set a regular-season record and is two wins short of the first 30-victory season in its history. The Bearcats won 29 games in 1961-62 and 1991-92, both seasons that ended with Final Four appearances.

        • UC has won 20 consecutive Conference USA games, the longest active streak of league victories by any team in the nation.

        • The 26 turnovers committed by Saint Louis were the most by any Bearcats opponent.

        • Forward Pete Mickeal tied a career high with three blocked shots against the Billikens.

        • With 23 points, center Kenyon Martin moved into 17th place on the school's career scoring chart. He has 1,279 points, which pushes him past Jim Ard (1,256, 1968-70).

        • After getting the first 3-pointer of his career in Thursday's win at DePaul, Martin got his second.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
