Ruehl leads UC divers into NCAA

        Four Cincinnati Bearcats will compete in the NCAA men's and women's swimming and diving championships:

        UC's qualifiers:

        • Senior Becky Ruehl, a four-time All-American and 1996 U.S. Olympian, qualified for 10-meter platform dive.

        • Junior Sofia Svensson qualified for the 200-meter backstroke, 200 butterfly and 200 individual medley.

        • Freshman Nelly Jorgensen will compete in the 100 and 200 freestyle events.

        • Junior Steven McLeod, a 1998 All-American, qualified in the 400 and 1,500 freestyles.

        The women compete today through Saturday in Indianapolis. The men's meet is March 23-25 in Minneapolis.
