UC out of Parker derby
By Mike DeCourcy
The Cincinnati Enquirer
The University of Cincinnati's pursuit of top prospect Jason Parker ended almost as quickly as it began.
Parker's high school coach, Goswell White, said Thursday the 6-foot-9 power forward was interested in UC along with three other schools after North Carolina denied him admission and released him from his letter of intent. But The Charlotte Observer reported that Parker no longer was considering UC.
Parker, who was rated the No.5 prospect in the incoming freshman class by Rivals.com analyst Dave Telep, still is considering Kentucky and Michigan.
