Dec. 18, 1999: Xavier 66, Cincinnati 64
Kevin Frey hit a pair of free throws with 29 seconds to play to put Xavier ahead 64-62 and then scored on a break-away layup following a Cincinnati turnover to boost the margin to 66-62 with 8.9 seconds remaining. Xavier captured the lead in the last 10 minutes of the first half and led by as many as 11 points. UC, ranked No.1, regained the lead with 6:07 to play and later fought back from a three-point deficit to tie the game with 1:43 left.


Jan. 28, 1999: Cincinnati 87, Xavier 77
No.5 Cincinnati snapped a 10-game Xavier win streak. The loss also snapped Xavier's two-game win streak over UC. Xavier led much of the first half, but a run by Cincinnati at the end of the first half and the start of the second pushed UC out in front 42-31 with 17:26 to play. Xavier went on a 22-9 run to take a 53-51 lead with 11:18 left. Melvin Levett led UC with 23 points.

Dec. 13, 1997: Xavier 88, Cincinnati 68
Guards Lenny Brown and Gary Lumpkin scored 23 points each to lead Xavier. The Musketeers broke open the game with a 20-1 scoring run late in the first half. Trailing by 15 at the half, UC cut the margin to nine points in the first eight minutes of the second half, but an 11-0 run by Xavier ended the threat.

Nov. 26, 1996: Xavier 71, Cincinnati 69
Lenny Brown's running one-hander at the buzzer lifted Xavier to the upset of No.1 UC. Neither team led by more than six points in the game. Cincinnati had a 68-63 lead with 1:28 to play, but James Posey hit a layup with six seconds left to tie the game 69-69. UC turned over the ball with five seconds remaining, setting the stage for Brown's game-winning basket. Brown led all scorers with 19 points.

Jan. 17, 1996: Cincinnati 99, Xavier 90
Danny Fortson achieved new career highs with 40 points and 17 rebounds. The Bearcats led the entire game. UC built a 12-point margin in the first half, only to see the Musketeers cut it to 40-34 at the half. UC had a 79-62 lead with 5:44 to play, but Xavier trimmed the lead to six with 27 seconds remaining. Darnell Burton and Damon Flint each scored 19 points.


Jan. 9, 1995: Cincinnati 87, Xavier 80
LaZelle Durden led all scorers with 33 points, including 5-for-8 on 3-pointers. Danny Fortson added 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds for UC. Michael Hawkins led Xavier with 23 points, six rebounds and seven assists.
