Coaches drop UC from poll
Ends streak at 53 weeks
The University of Cincinnati dropped out of the USA Today/ESPN poll on Sunday, ending a string of 53 weeks in the coaches' rankings.
UC (10-3) finished 26th in the poll of Division I coaches, one spot ahead of Xavier which beat the Bearcats this season. UC won its only game this week, beating North Carolina Charlotte on Saturday night.
The last time UC was unranked in the coaches poll was the eighth poll of the 1997-98 season.
Stanford replaced Michigan State as No.1.
The Associated Press poll is released today.
