Report: Cavs job could lure Huggins
Interest is there if Wittman goes, source says
Enquirer news services
Bob Huggins would be very interested in the Cleveland Cavaliers job should it come open, a source close to the University of Cincinnati coach told the Akron Beacon Journal.
Current Cavs coach Randy Wittman appears in jeopardy of losing his job, although he received a vote of confidence March 8 for the remainder of the season. One NBA general manager said Huggins will be one of the hottest coaching candidates this offseason after leading the Bearcats to the Sweet 16.
He loves Ohio, said the source close to Huggins. Going from Akron to Cincinnati to the Cleveland Cavaliers would be a natural progression for him. (Go to the Beacon Journal story)
