Grove, Little may be charged in bar fight

By Earnest Winston
The Cincinnati Enquirer

Cincinnati police said Friday that there's a “strong likelihood” that University of Cincinnati basketball players Donald Little and B.J. Grove will face charges after a fight early Thursday in a Clifton Heights bar.

“This is going to go through the court system one way or the other,” District 5 Sgt. Charles White said.

Sgt. White said Grove, a sophomore center, could face a felony assault charge. He is accused of hitting a man over the head with a bar stool. The sergeant said Little, also a sophomore center, could face a misdemeanor assault. He is alleged to have kicked a bartender in her side.

Tom Hathaway, UC's sports information director, said that if the players are charged, their status on the team could be in jeopardy.
