UC's Peek wins student-athlete award

The Cincinnati Enquirer

Antwan Peek, the University of Cincinnati's standout junior defensive end, is among five student-athletes in the country selected to receive the N4A Student-Athletic Achievement Award.

The honor, which will be presented to Peek on June 17 in Providence, R.I., is given each year by the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics to student-athletes who have “overcome great personal, academic and/or emotional odds to achieve academic success while participating in intercollegiate athletics.”

Peek, a Woodward High School graduate, was the Bearcats' leader in tackles for losses and quarterback sacks and helped lead UC to a 7-5 record and Motor City Bowl appearance.
