Cincinnati police are asking for help in finding four men believed to have participated in the April 1 assault and torture of a University of Cincinnati student.

        A Hamilton County grand jury on Thursday indicted former University of Cincinnati basketball player Donald Little and a second man, Porfirio Baldwin, on two counts each of felonious assault and one count each of kidnapping. If convicted, they could face 26 years in prison. The pair is accused of helping to assault Justin Hodge, Mr. Little's roommate.

        So far, only Mr. Little has been arrested, said Cincinnati Police Lt. Kurt Byrd. Mr. Baldwin and at least three other men are still at large.

        Hamilton County Prosecutor Mike Allen said Mr. Baldwin, of Euclid Avenue in Mount Auburn, is an acquaintance of Mr. Little and Mr. Hodge. A felony warrant has been issued for his arrest.

        Mr. Hodge received a call on his cell phone April 1, asking him to come home.

        Authorities say that once he returned to the Fairview Heights apartment, Mr. Little allegedly hit him repeatedly in the head with a whiskey bottle.

        The four other men allegedly hit and kicked Mr. Hodge and helped to tape him to a chair.

        At some point during the assault, authorities say, Mr. Hodge's attackers held a phone to his ear so he could speak with a relative to ask for money.

        “Little had $2,500 taken from the apartment and accused Hodge of stealing the money,” Mr. Allen said. “Hodge denies taking the money.”

        Authorities say Mr. Hodge was blindfolded with an Ace bandage and was then beaten again and burned. He told authorities a knife was held to his throat and his attackers told him he was going to die.

        He was eventually allowed to go to the bathroom, but when he tried to break free, one of the men stabbed him in the leg with a knife.

        At some point, Mr. Little and two of the others left Mr. Hodge with Mr. Baldwin and another man.

        Authorities say that the two men walked Mr. Hodge outside and told him not to return to the apartment until he had Mr. Little's money.

        Mr. Hodge went to a friend, who then took him to the hospital. He was treated and released that same day.

        Authorities say Mr. Little, who has pleaded not guilty and is free in lieu of $50,000 bond, has given conflicting statements about his involvement in the incident.

        Following his arrest and arraignment, the Georgia native was kicked off the UC basketball team.

        His attorney, Richard Feil III, declined comment Thursday.
