The two most experienced players - Stokes and Maxiell - went a combined 8-of-27 from the field.
ARMEIN UPDATE
Freshman Armein Kirkland, who suffered a broken jaw early in the month, said he hopes to be able to practice full-go in about two weeks.
The 6-8 forward said he got elbowed going for a ball during a pickup game; he doesn't even know who hit him. Kirkland has been able to run and participate in shooting and non-contact drills. He runs through plays with the team and said he is watching film of last season's games to further learn plays and try not to fall too far behind. He did not play Saturday.
