UC football gets 2005 date with Penn State

The Associated Press

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - The University of Cincinnati football team gained a game against Penn State in 2005, thanks to the rescheduling of two games between the Nittany Lions and Alabama. The Crimson Tide asked for the delay of the home-and-home series.

The Crimson Tide were scheduled to visit Penn State on Sept. 18, 2004, with the Nittany Lions playing at Alabama on Sept. 10, 2005. The new agreement delays the series until 2013 and 2014.

Central Florida will fill Penn State's open home date in 2004. In 2005, the Nittany Lions replaced their Sept. 10 road date with a home game against the Bearcats.
