Northeastern head coach Ron Everhart has removed himself from consideration for the job as the University of Cincinnati's associate head basketball coach, UC athletic director Bob Goin confirmed Monday.
Goin said he has not interviewed anyone else for the job, but still hopes to have a new assistant or associate in place by Sept. 1.
UC coach Bob Huggins, who returns from his drunken driving suspension Friday, has been permitted to talk to candidates informally during his suspension.
