What happens if University of Cincinnati senior quarterback Gino Guidugli goes down with an injury?
Guidugli has been remarkably durable during his career, but if he were to be hurt, coach Mark Dantonio would turn to either wide receiver George Murray or Collin Carey.
Murray is a converted quarterback who has run the offense. Carey served as Guidugli's backup last year.
And freshman Dustin Grutza?
"Grutza looks good in practice, but I don't know that he would be ready to play," Dantonio said.
Grutza, from Maysville, Ky., appears to be the heir apparent.
"We're trying to redshirt (Grutza)," Dantonio said. "If he's the next best guy, we'll play him, but I don't know if he is yet."
