Quarterback Gino Guidugli, who broke a school record by throwing five touchdown passes in Saturday's win over then-No. 21 Southern Miss, has been named Conference USA offensive player of the week.

Guidugli, a senior from Highlands High, completed 19 of 26 passes for 308 yards - his third 300-plus passing performance in the last five games - against the Golden Eagles, who entered the game ranked 16th nationally in pass defense and 10th in passing efficiency defense.

He connected with Hannibal Thomas for three touchdowns against USM, including an 80-yarder, UC's longest since 1995.

In UC's three-game win streak, Guidugli has completed 45 of 70 passes without an interception for 645 yards and 9 TDs, giving him a passing efficiency rating of 184.12.
