CCD beats CHCA to take first in MVC
        Cincinnati Country Day avenged its only loss this season and took over first place in the Miami Valley Conference with a 44-39 win over Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy.

        Oak Hills wrapped up the Greater Miami Conference title in its first year in the league by beating Milford 58-42 Saturday.

        Kevin Schappell scored 19 points and Jeff Lewis had 17 as Loveland clinched its second straight Cardinal Division championship with a 79-52 victory over visiting Kings.

        St. Xavier bounced back from a three-game losing streak and kept its Greater Catholic League South title hopes alive.

        Doug Monaghan had 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead Colerain over Sycamore 70-47.

Miami Valley Conference games
        The showdown between Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy and Cincinnati Country Day was postponed due to moisture on the floor.

Mid-Miami League games
        Middletown Fenwick utilized a full court man-to-man defense to force 34 turnovers and beat Edgewood 54-44.

N.Ky. boys basketball games
        Jordan Stowers had a triple-double and Mike Brock scored a career-high 27 points, lifting Simon Kenton to a 76-68 victory over Ryle a.

Queen City Conference games
        Western Hills, the No.2 team in the Enquirer's Division I coaches poll, cruised to a 79-67 victory over Withrow.

Southern Buckeye Conference games
        Craig Hennessey made seven of eight free throws in the fourth quarter and Batavia clinched at least a tie for the National title with a 60-51 victory over Georgetown.

        Ripley clinched the Southern Hills League large school division with a 73-45 win over West Union.

Cincinnati boys basketball game
        Vincent Johnson, Kendrick Davis and Clayton Collins each scored 14 points to lead Hillcrest over Clark Montessori 81-47.

N.Ky. boys basketball games
        Junior guard Ross Hart led all scorers with 20 points in leading Beechwood over Ludlow 74-56.

        Phil Landes scored 13 points in the fourth quarter, including six consecutive free throws during the final minute, giving Mariemont, ranked ninth in the Enquirer's Divisions II-IV poll, a 56-48 upset victory over No.6 Reading.

McNicholas knocks off Elder in OT
        After pulling off their biggest upset of the season Saturday with a victory over the No. 1 in Ohio, the Elder Panthers were victims of an upset Tuesday night.
