Moeller loses California tourney final
        The Crusaders blew a 13-point lead and lost to unbeaten Corona Centennial 70-67 in the championship game of the National Prep Classic in Encinitas, Calif. Matt Sylvester, named tourney MVP, scored 29 points but fouled out.

Cincinnati boys basketball games
        Ian Lafferty sank 16 of 18 free throws and scored a game high 21 points to lead Clermont Northeastern to a 72-62 victory over Wyoming.

N.Ky. boys basketball games
        Westminster overcame nine three-3-pointers and 33 points by Newport Central Catholic's Ronny Dawn, beating the Thoroughbreds 73-59 in the championship game of the Kentucky Fifth Third Holiday Classic.

Moeller beats California's No. 1
        Matt Sylvester scored 29 points to lead a 75-56 victory over Concord (Calif.) De La Salle in the National Prep Classic in Encinitas, Calif.

        Ronny Dawn and Seth Myers each made free throws to clinch a 53-50 win over Muhlenberg North Thursday in the Fifth Third Bank Holiday Classic at Lexington Catholic.

        Mike Ferris scored 31 points, 13 in the third quarter, leading Colerain to a 77-55 victory over Harrison.

        Ronnie Dawn, who sat out the first four games with an ankle sprain, scored 30 points to lead Newport Central Catholic over Lexington Henry Clay 69-50 in the Fifth Third Classic at Lexington Catholic.
