Nothing stops Steve Kiener of Madeira from riding his K1 BMW motorcycle. Nothing but extreme heat, anyway. He likes the feeling of a light rain in his face, even the cool of winter riding. But 90-degree heat is something he just can't ride in. With all the gear, it's just too hot.

"The K1 BMW looks real racy," Kiener says. "It didn't take off looks-wise, but they kept up with the technology."

The bike is Kiener's vehicle of choice. He loves that it doesn't beat him up like other motorcycles can.

First car: A 1947 Cadillac hearse. "I like unique things, obviously. That was my first car, and I loved it because I could carry all kinds of things in it, and it was strange."

Dream car: A backhoe. "I'm a born tool user, and it's the ultimate tool. There is very little you can't do with it."
