Cincinnati businessman Carl Lindner keeps on giving.

The latest ''soft money'' filings with the Federal Election Commission, covering the first six months of this year, show Mr. Lindner and his companies have given branches of the National Republican Party $200,000.

The term ''soft money'' refers to unregulated money given directly to political party organizations rather than specific candidates.

The contributions break down as follows:

$50,000 to the Republican National Committee from Mr. Lindner.

$75,000 to the National Republican Congressional Committee from American Financial Group.

$75,000 to the National Republican Senatorial Committee from American Financial Group.
