1998 Ohio and Kentucky state road and bridge projects:

Butler County

  • 747 - Widen to four lanes between Ashley Drive and Smith Road.

  • Ohio 128 - Replace bridge over Great Miami River, 2.32 miles north of U.S. 127.

  • Ohio 73 - Resurface from Ohio 4 to Cincinnati-Dayton Road.

  • Ohio 4 - Resurface from south of Fairfield corporation line to Ohio 4 bypass.

  • Ohio 129 - Resurface from Ohio 732 to west of Millville corporation line.

Clermont County

  • Ohio 133 - Widen to two 11-foot-wide lanes with 6-foot paved berms and eliminate sight distance problems, 2.9 miles east of Ohio 132.

  • Ohio 32 - Resurface from west corporation line of Batavia to .19 miles west of Ohio 133.

  • U.S. Route 50 - Replace culvert .95 miles east of Owensville.

  • Ohio 125 - Resurface from .02 miles west of Interstate 275 to .25 miles east of Ohio 132.

  • Ohio 125 - Resurface from .02 miles west of Interstate 275 to .25 miles east of Ohio 132.

  • Ohio 222 - Replace bridge over Possum Hollow, 1.09 miles south of U.S. 50.

Hamilton County

  • U.S. 27 - Resurface from .08 miles north of Cincinnati corporation line to Racann Drive.

  • U.S. Route 50 - Resurface from Indiana state lines to 1.05 miles east of the Indiana state line.

  • U.S. Route 22 - Replace bridge over tributary of Sycamore Creek, .72 miles south of Ronald Reagan Highway (Ohio 126).

  • Ohio 264 - Resurface from Bridgetown Road to the Cincinnati corporation line.

Warren County

  • 123 - Widen from two to four lanes between Spring Drive and Shortwell Drive in Franklin.

  • Ohio 73 and Clearcreek-Franklin Road - Extend left turn lane on Clearcreek-Franklin Road and replace culvert.

  • Ohio 741 - Widen from two to five lanes between Ohio 73 in Springboro and the existing five-lane section in Montgomery County.

  • Ohio 48 - Replace culvert approximately one mile north of Ohio 73.

  • U.S. Route 42 - Resurfacing from the Waynesville Airport to Centerville Road in Greene County.

  • Ohio 123 - Resurfacing from the north corporation line of Lebanon to Ohio 122.

  • Ohio 741 - Widen from two to four lanes between Interstate 71 and Parkside Drive in Mason.

  • U.S. 42 - 48 Bypass - Realign intersection to meet with Miller Road.

  • U.S. Route 22 - Resurfacing from the east corporation line of Morrow to the Clinton County line.

Boone County, Ky.

  • U.S. 25 - Widening from Kentucky 338 to Boone-Kenton county line.

  • Kentucky 18, Kentucky 1017 and Mall Road - Signal system improvements.

  • Campbell County, Ky. Licking Pike - Relocation from Interstate 275 north to four-lane section in Wilder and bridge substructure.

Kenton County, Ky.

  • Short Way Bridge - Replace bridge from 12th Street in Covington to 11th Street in Newport.

  • U.S. 25 - Widening from Boone - Kenton line to Kentucky 491.

  • Lexington-Covington - Widening from 3,000 feet south of Dixie Highway to Kyles Lane.

  • Dixie Highway - Left turn lane addition at Turkeyfoot Road.

  • Kentucky 17 - Widening from four-lane section of Madison Road to Pelly Road.

HAMILTON COUNTY

1998 road and bridge projects

Roads:

  • Harrison outpost building: $1 million project to construct a garage facility.

  • Race Road, Ohio 264 to Harrison: $2.8 million widening and rehabilitation.

  • Delhi Pike $4.2 million widening and rehabilitation, from just west of Rosemont Avenue to Plum Street.

  • Kemper Road, Conrey to U.S. 22: $7.6 million widening and rehabilitation.

  • Fields Ertel Road, Mason Road and U.S. 22: $1.2 million computerized signal system.

  • Anderson Ferry and Crookshank roads: $2.2 million widening and rehabilitation.

  • Five Mile Road and Ohio 125: $150,000 intersection improvement.

  • John Gray and Mill roads: $225,000 intersection improvement.

  • John Gray Road and Whitetail Drive: $355,000 intersection improvement.

  • Springdale Road, Colerain Township: $1.2 million widening and rehabilitation.

  • Newtown Road, Anderson Township:$450,000 drainage improvement.

  • Dry Ridge Road and U.S. 27: $1 million widening and relocation.

Bridges:

  • Paddys Run: $175,000 replacement.

  • Berkshire: $200,000 culvert repair.

  • Fields Ertel Road: $100,000 repair.

  • New Haven Road: $150,000 replacement.

  • Harrison Road at Mullen Road: $273,000 rehabilitation.

  • Miles Road: $150,000 replacement.

  • Winton Road: $75,000 rehabilitation of beams.

  • Wooster Pike near Red Bank: $2.5 million replacement.

  • Spooky Hollow Road: $200,000 replacement.

  • Kemper Road: $125,000 replacement with culvert.

  • Harrison Road (west of Ohio 128): $400,000 slide correction.

  • South Road (east of Addyston): $400,000 slide correction.

CLERMONT COUNTY

1998 road and bridge projects

  • Hospital Drive near Clermont Mercy Hospital will be extended eastward to connect to Herold Road at a cost of $600,000. The project began in November and is expected to conclude this spring.

  • The Stonelick Olive Branch bridge will be replaced this fall at a cost of $230,000.

  • The Chapel Road bridge will be replaced this fall at a cost of $125,000.

  • Improvements to Bauer Road will stretch from Ohio 32 to Hospital Drive. The $300,000 project will add lanes, improve drainage and add a traffic signal at the intersection of Bauer Road and Hospital Drive. The project is scheduled to begin this fall.

  • Franklin Township's Felicity Cedron Road bridge with its 10-ton load limit will be replaced. The $253,000 project is scheduled to begin in February and conclude this summer.

  • On Miller Road, the existing ford crossing will be replaced with a series of concrete box culverts to minimize the flooding on the road. The $125,000 project is set to begin late this fall. Improvements to Woodville Pike include geometric changes and replacement of a storm culvert at a cost of $250,000. The project is set to get under way late this fall.

  • The Weaver Road bridge will be replaced this summer at a cost of $75,000.

  • Monterey Maple Grove Road bridge replacement will include geometric changes to improve visibility for drivers. The $283,000 project is set to begin and conclude this fall.

  • Cole Road bridge replacement in Pierce Township will include geometric changes designed to improve safety for drivers, including visibility in the area. The $350,000 project is set to begin and conclude this fall.

  • Woodspoint Drive will be extended 225 feet north of the Ohio 28 and Woodspoint Drive intersection. The $689,000 project also will include construction of left-turn lanes on Ohio 28. The project is expected to get under way this fall.

  • The Dry Run Road bridge replacement will include a road realignment. Cost: $255,000. The project is set to begin this fall.

  • Improvements to the intersection of Branch Hill Guinea Pike and Loveland-Miamiville Road include turn lanes and road widening. The $725,000 project begins late this fall.

  • The Twelve Mile Road bridge will be replaced this fall at a cost of $940,000.

  • The Bethel Maple Road bridge will be replaced this summer at a cost of $290,000.

  • Bach-Buxton Road will be extended north from its existing terminus at Clough Pike. The proposed road will intersect Shayler Road and connect to Elick Lane. Elick Lane also will be improved north to Ohio 32. The project, which is expected to cost $2.9 million, will begin this spring and be completed by late fall.

  • Marian Drive will be extended eastward to connect the Eastgate Woods apartment complex to Elick Lane, which intersects one of the county's main arteries - Ohio 32. The $115,000 project is set to begin and conclude this summer.

  • The Beechwood Road bridge in Union Township will be replaced this fall at a cost of $75,000.

  • A turn lane will be added on Clough Pike at the Hamilton-Clermont county line at a cost of $35,000. The project is scheduled to begin and conclude this fall.

  • The Round Bottom Road bridge replacement will include geometric changes to improve sight distance. The $300,000 project is set to begin in late fall.

  • The Shayler Road bridge replacement is set to begin late this fall and will cost $219,000.

  • The Washington Township salt barn will be a 7,280-square-foot storage facility capable of storing up to 5,000 tons of salt for use by the Clermont County engineer's office as well as Washington and Franklin townships. The $225,000 project is scheduled to begin and conclude this summer.

  • The Big Indian Road bridge in Washington Township will be replaced this summer at a cost of $125,000.

  • Improvements to Mullens Road include replacement of a concrete box culvert to minimize the flooding of the road. The $100,000 project is to begin late this fall.

  • Taylor Pike bridge, with a 15-ton load limit, will be replaced at a cost of $75,000. The project is scheduled to begin and end this spring.

  • The No. 5 Road bridge is closed, but the $110,000 replacement project is set to begin and conclude this fall.
