The funeral today of Covington Police Officer Mike Partin will close streets as motorcades escort his body from Northern Kentucky to Anderson Township and back.
Police want motorists to be aware of these tie-ups:
Interstate 275, eastbound from Taylor Mill, will be closed about 9:30 a.m. while a short motorcade travels to St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, Anderson Township.
Westbound I-275, to Dixie Highway, will be closed when the larger motorcade passes through on its way to Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, about 12:30 p.m. Northbound Dixie Highway also will be closed.
Traffic problems also are anticipated along Beechmont Avenue in front of St. Timothy's before and after the 10 a.m. funeral, and along Dixie Highway in Fort Mitchell after the burial.
