LOUISVILLE -- Republican Bill Wilson and Democrat Dave Armstrong will run for mayor here in November after winning their primary elections Tuesday. Mr. Wilson, a former alderman and a longtime Democrat who recently switched to the Republican Party, defeated cab driver Robert Ebernez, 66 percent to 34 percent.
Mr. Armstrong, the judge-executive of Jefferson County and a former Kentucky attorney general, defeated Alderman Tom Owen, 52 percent to 48 percent.
Mayor Jerry Abramson, a Democrat who has served since 1986, was prohibited from running again because of a three-term limit.
