Two boys were injured Wednesday in separate incidents when they fell from windows at their residences.
A 3-year-old Delhi Township boy was in serious condition late Wednesday in Children's Hospital Medical Center after falling from a second-story window. Police said the boy, whose name had not been released by early today, was on a bed next to the window in the 4200 block of Champdale when he pushed out the screen and fell about 8:25 p.m.
Four-year-old Adam Young was in fair condition Wednesday night after he fell from a third-floor apartment window in Westwood. The boy was being treated at Children's Hospital Medical Center. Firefighters who responded to the apartment building in the 3200 block of Westbrook Avenue just after 7 p.m. said the boy did not appear to have suffered serious injuries.
Adam fell 20-25 feet and landed in a grassy area, a fire official said.

Parents locked up after toddler critically hurt
Parents of a critically injured English Woods baby remained in jail Wednesday after appearing in court on charges of abuse and neglect.
Christel Freeman, 24, had rushed to Children's Hospital Medical Center at 1:45 a.m. Tuesdaycomplaining her 11-month-old daughter, Cassie Williams, could not breathe properly.
Hours later, police arrested her for allegedly leaving her two other daughters -- ages 4 and 7 -- home alone. She faces two misdemeanor child-endangering charges.
Ms. Freeman pleaded not guilty Wednesday and is being held under $30,000 bond.
Her boyfriend and father of the infant, Charles Williams Jr. of Avondale, faces charges of felonious assault and felony child endangering. Police say he is responsible for inflicting the injuries Memorial Day that left Cassie in critical condition with internal trauma.
Her father is being held at the Justice Center in lieu of $200,000 cash. A grand jury is expected to hear the case next week.
City in contempt over fire promotions
Cincinnati officials will be sentenced in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court this morning for disobeying a court's order to promote a fire captain to district chief.
Assistant Safety Director Rodney Prince and city lawyer John Williams will represent the city during today's sentencing before Judge John O'Connor for contempt of court.
The case dates to 1995, when the city was sued by firefighters who said five district chief positions were eliminated illegally. The courts sided with the firefighters, and the city took the case to the court of appeals.
Mr. Prince said the appeals court ruled four of the five positions should be filled. But questions have been raised about whether the fifth position should have been filled and whether the city has complied with the court's orders. The hearing is at 8:30 a.m.
