Student, 15, charged with threat to use gun

SHARONVILLE -- A 15-year-old Princeton High School student was charged with menacing Friday after allegedly threatening to use a firearm at school.

The boy was overheard telling students that, "Someone should put Princeton on the map," said Lt. Greg Homer of the Sharonville Police Dept.

Some parents would not allow their children to come to school Monday, Lt. Homer said.

"I think some people blow this out of proportion," he said. "Five years ago, people wouldn't have reacted to it."

The Sharonville Police Dept. is beefing up patrols around the school this week to ensure student safety.
