MIDDLETOWN -- Acting on a tip early Saturday , police apprehended the last of three inmates who escaped from the Warren County Jail last week.

Johnny Paul Coffman, 24, of Middletown, was apprehended about 5 a.m. Saturday at a home in the 100 block of Manhattan, where police found him hiding behind a pole in the basement.

In addition, police also arrested Robert Saylor, 36, and Rebecca Saylor, 29, charging them with obstruction of justice, a fifth-degree felony.

The three inmates escaped through an outside recreation area to freedom Tuesday evening. Once free, the inmates removed their orange jump suits and took off wearing white T-shirts and boxer shorts.

Rashad Ajin Gary, 20, of Dayton, Ohio, and Matthew David Henderson, 19, of Fairborn were captured without incident Thursday in the 1300 block of Ohio 123 South in Lebanon.

Mr. Henderson and Mr. Gary were in jail awaiting trial on two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of aggravated assault. Mr. Coffman was in jail for violating probation.

They each pleaded not guilty to felony charges of escape, breaking and entering, and burglary during arraignment hearings Thursday in Lebanon Municipal Court. Preliminary hearings are set for Monday. Earlier Saturday, the Warren County Sheriff's office received information from Cynthia Brixner, Mr. Coffman's girlfriend, that Mr. Coffman was at the Manhattan address.

Warren County deputies and Middletown Police officers went to the address and searched the residence with the assistance of the Middletown Police department's Canine Unit.

Police found him hiding behind a pole in the basement of the residence. Mr. Coffman is currently incarcerated in the Warren County Jail and will be arraigned in Lebanon Municipal Court on Monday.

During much of the day Friday, police followed up on as many as half a dozen possible sightings of Mr. Coffman but none of those tips panned out.
