Cyberkids have spoken. Nickelodeon tops their list of best Web sites.

Kids in grades 1-12 were asked to nominate their favorite sites for fun and learning as part of the "Kids Pick the Best of the Web." The project was sponsored by the American Association of School Librarians and KidsConnect, an online question-answer service for students.

More than 800 children voted for their favorite sites. The Top 10:

1. Nickelodeon: http://www.nick.com

2. Disney: http://www.disney.com

3. GeoCities: http://www.geocities.com

4. Yahoo Search Engine: http://www.yahoo.com

5. National Basketball Association: http://www.nba.com

6. Public Broadcasting System: http://www.pbs.org

8. ESPN -- Sportszone: http://www.ESPN.com

9. Sports Illustrated for Kids: http://www.sikids.com

10. Comedy Central -- South Park: http://www.comedycentral.com/southpark

The "Top 10" are posted with links on the American Library Association Web site at http://www.ala.org/kidspick/. Children with questions about using the Internet and other topics can get help from KidsConnect at http://www.ala.org/ICONN/AskKC.html.
