COLERAIN TOWNSHIP -- An 18-year-old died Wednesday night shortly after he was stabbed in the stomach outside Taylor Elementary School.

No arrests had been made by late Thursday afternoon.

Joshua H. Telinda of the 2800 block of Livingston Road was stabbed during "an altercation" with several other youths about 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Hamilton County sheriff's department.

An ambulance took Mr. Telinda to Franciscan Hospital Mount Airy, where he died at 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Telinda's grandmother Shirley Telinda said her grandson didn't know the other youths.

"He was just a very loving child," said Ms. Telinda, who helped raise him for six years.

Mr. Telinda grew up in Mount Healthy and moved to Colerain Township about eight years ago, she said.

He attended Colerain Senior High School until he was 16. He had been working for a roofing company for the past 12 to 18 months, she said.

Visitation for Mr. Telinda will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Neidhard-Hensley Funeral home, 7401 Hamilton Ave. in Mount Healthy. The funeral is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
