Kenneth Graham has a fish story to tell, but it's not much to brag about. He was the 170-pound big catch.
Cincinnati police had been after him for a year in connection with the July 1997 beating death of Robert Hill.
He was an elusive suspect for months, frustrating homicide detectives. He was added to the Cincinnati Police Division's 10 Most Wanted List.
But a few months ago, a fishing hole posted his picture for having the catch of the day. Soon, violent crime investigators were on his trail.
They snagged him Sundayafternoon at Wysong Lake in Trotwood, Ohio, where Mr. Graham was fishing again.
The 33-year-old College Hill man faces an involuntary manslaughter charge.
Police say he struck the blow that killed Mr. Hill in a South Cumminsville street fight. Mr. Hill, 19, of South Fairmount, was attacked July 1, 1997, in the 3700 block of Borden Street. He died two days later. Dayton, Ohio, police dropped a charge of obstructing official business filed against Mr. Graham's girlfriend. He is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center and is scheduled for a court appearance today.
Mr. Graham had been listed among the "Tristate's Most Wanted" in The Cincinnati Enquirer, and is among the 488 out of 815 suspects featured who have been arrested.
