Heartthrob Hansons at Riverbend

Tuesday, July 14, 1998

BY REON CARTER
The Cincinnati Enquirer

They reportedly receive 25,000 fan letters a week; their official Web site sees more than 100,000 hits a day.

Expect the scream-o-meter to pop a spring when Isaac, Taylor and Zachary of Hanson hit Riverbend at 8 p.m. on Aug. 3. It's their first concert in this area.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday and can be bought at Ticketmaster outlets (including Thriftway stores) or charged by phone at 562-4949 or Riverbend at 232-6220. Pavilion seats are $31; lawn seats are $25.

A year ago, the three brothers from Tulsa, Okla., became the hottest musical sensation with the teeny-bop crowd since New Kids on the Block in the late 1980s. Their infectious debut hit single, "MMMBop," was nominated for a Grammy.
