MASON -- Today is your chance to see the world's No. 1-ranked tennis player, as well as a brand new member of the top 10 at the Great American Insurance ATP Championship.

No. 9 Andre Agassi, the world's former No. 1 player, is in the top 10 for the first time in 19 months. Agassi, who finished the 1997 season at No. 122, has won two of his past three tournaments and advanced to the semifinals in Toronto last weekend after beating Pete Sampras.

Agassi plays Nicolas Kiefer of Germany at about 1 p.m. on Center Court.

No. 1-ranked Marcelo Rios begins his play at 7 p.m. on Center Court against Daniel Vacek, who defeated Jason Stoltenberg on Monday night.

Here's a look at some of today's other top matchups:

  • Michael Chang vs. Todd Woodbridge (about 3 p.m., Center Court): When we last saw Chang here he was losing in the '97 semifinals to Thomas Muster.

  • Muster vs. Tim Henman (11 a.m., Center Court): Last year's runner-up gets a tough first-round matchup with the 23-year-old English standout.

  • Jan-Michael Gambill vs. No. 18 Cedric Pioline at about 9 p.m. on Center Court. Gambill, 21, , beat France's Olivier Delaitre 6-1, 6-3 in his first ATP Championship match.
