The Fort Washington Way construction, the 1 p.m. Bengals game and the half-million people expected to head downtown for the Toyota - WEBN fireworks could cause a monumental traffic jam.

"Plan ahead, be patient and take the buses," advises Lt. Paul Humphries, commander of the Cincinnati Police Division's event planning unit.

Metro and TANK will provide rides from special Park & Ride locations as well as operate their regular Sunday routes.

Park & Ride locations are: Western Hills Plaza, General Electric in Evendale, Raymond Walters College in Blue Ash, Anderson Township Park & Ride, Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, Oldenberg Brewery in Fort Mitchell and Bigg's in Florence. Cost is $3 round trip. Return service will begin immediately after the fireworks. Metro says it will run buses until everyone gets home. As always, designated streets and bridges will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians.

The 21st annual Riverfest will be family oriented, with activities beginning at noon and the fireworks at 9:05 p.m. Organizers promise a bigger, better, more colorful show this year.

Events in Covington, Newport and Cincinnati will include live music, entertainment, and children's shows. The festival will be alcohol-free.
