Mom arrested for leaving baby in parking lot

A Northside woman was arrested Thursday after she left her baby on a hot concrete parking lot.

Cincinnati police charged Allena Williams, 24, of the 4000 block of Delaney Street with endangering children.

Ms. Williams and the baby's father were engaged in a dispute over who should care for the child in a parking lot at 1600 Blue Rock Road about 1 p.m., police said.

When the father refused to care for the child, Ms. Williams left the baby on the concrete parking lot and left the area, police said. The baby had no clothes on and was covered with a man's golf shirt.

Ms. Williams was arrested 20 minutes later.
