A Symmes Township executive was killed while walking through a dangerous Hartford, Conn., neighborhood late Monday.
Hartford police labeled the death of Mark Lewis, 51, as a sudden death-possible murder. Mr. Lewis is a group sales manager for The Hartford, at the insurance company's Cincinnati offices.
Mr. Lewis was on a business trip this week at a downtown Hartford hotel with other company employees. On Monday he apparently had gone for a walk when he ended up on Albany Avenue, about a half-mile north of his hotel, police said.
Just before 11 p.m., he got into a confrontation, was struck with a closed fist and fell to the ground, a police report said. Police were called, and Mr. Lewis was found unresponsive. He was taken to a Hartford hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Mr. Lewis' wallet and other belongings were not taken, police said.
Police said Tuesday they have no motive and no suspects in the case.
