Timothy R. Miller has been named chief operating officer of Twin Towers Retirement Community, a continuing care retirement community in College Hill. Mr. Miller has more than 10 years of health-care experience and is an ordained minister. After graduating from the Kentucky Christian College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Bible and communications in 1980, he also attended graduate school in communications at Marshall University. He began his ministry in Columbus.
Erik P. Simmons has been named assistant vice president, management information systems, of U.S. Financial Life Insurance Co., and Lynn Kettles has been named assistant vice president, corporate communications.
Pat Samson has joined University Hospital as full-time media relations consultant, and Alicia Kinney has joined the team as public relations and marketing assistant.
Barbara Ann Hurt has been appointed membership services manager at Cincinnati Nature Center, Mike Gonella has been appointed agricultural educator at Gorman Heritage Farm, Cincinnati Nature Center's newest site, and Thelma B. Johnson has been appointed to the Cincinnati Nature Center board of trustees.
William Rabe has joined Libby Perszyk Kathman as designer; Ted Weil, network technician; and Greg Davis, administrative clerk.
Earl Messer, attorney in the litigation department of Taft, Stettinius & Hollister LLP, has been appointed to the board of St. James Day Care in Cincinnati.
Theodore J. Lakeberg has been named North American product manager of Mercury Instruments Inc. Mr. Lakeberg will be responsible for new measurement products and applications for the natural gas industry throughout the United States and Canada. For the past five years, he has been the central regional manager for Mercury Instruments Inc., manufacturer of precision instruments in Cincinnati.
