Metro studies bus to hospital

Tuesday, October 27, 1998

BY TANYA ALBERT
The Cincinnati Enquirer

Metro wants to hear what bus riders have to say about proposed changes to give Mount Airy residents access to Franciscan Hospital's Mount Airy Campus.

Metro representatives will hold a public meeting at 7 p.m. tonight at Mount Airy School, 5730 Colerain Ave.,to discuss the proposals. The options being considered are:

Re-route the Route 17 College Hill bus over North Bend Road and Colerain Avenue before it ends at the Franciscan Hospital-Mount Airy Campus.

This option would delay present Route 17 passengers en route to the hospital. But it provides a link to the hospital for Mount Airy residents.

Deviate some Route 19 trips to the hospital. The bus currently runs on Colerain Avenue between Northgate Mall - Seven Hills.

Deviating some buses to the Franciscan Hospital-Mount Airy campus would give Mount Airy passengers direct service to and from the hospital. It would also give more individuals along lower Colerain avenue access to medical care.

Comments can be faxed to Metro at 632-7694 or sent by e-mail to infosorta.com
