One person was injured in a truck accident that closed Interstate 275 for more than an hour late Friday afternoon in Clermont County.
Investigators with the Ohio State Highway Patrol were still trying to determine what caused the crash, just north of Ohio 28 on I-275. The driver, Danny Jackson, 39, of Middletown, was flown by helicopter to University Hospital where he was in fair condition Friday night.
Mr. Jackson was driving the flatbed truck north on I-275 about 5:15 p.m. when the truck drove off the road and into the median, troopers said. The truck came to rest on its side, spilling its load of concrete forms and diesel fuel.
The highway was closed in both directions as crews worked to free the trapped driver and clear the highway, troopers said. The northbound lanes were opened about an hour after the accident and the southbound lanes about 7:30 p.m.
No citations had been issued Friday.
