Two kindergartners wandered away from Cheviot School Wednesday, crossing several lanes of busy Harrison Avenue to visit a Wendy's restaurant where one of their mothers worked.

"The district is investigating to determine if there was any wrongdoing," district spokeswoman Janet Walsh said.

The boys were unhurt.
