Tuesday, November 17, 1998

COVINGTON - A call to a West Ninth Street residence Monday afternoon led emergency personnel and police to two dead women.

Covington Police Capt. Steve Wills said the deaths are being investigated as possible drug overdoses.

A Covington Fire Department ambulance was dispatched to the 500 block of West Ninth Street at 2:48 p.m. for a person not breathing. Paramedics found a 24-year-old woman dead and a 35-year-old woman whom they transported to St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

The 35-year-old woman was pronounced dead on arrival.

There were no signs of trauma to either woman. Capt. Wills said names are being withheld until the women's relatives are notified.
