INDUSTRY NOTES: REAL ESTATE
Group gets go-ahead for office, hotels

Thursday, November 19, 1998

BY PERRY BROTHERS
The Cincinnati Enquirer

Equity Group LLC has received the green light from the city of Sharonville and the Metropolitan Sewer District to begin its Summit Woods development. The approved plans include about 500,000 square feet of office space, two 140-room hotels and 1 to 2 acres of retail, said Equity Group member Fred Skurow.

The plans are in preliminary stages, so Mr. Skurow declined to name the proposed hotel and retail developers. He did say that the potential office developers include one local and two out-of-town developers.

The group Monday will begin taking bids for site development. The investment group paid about $4 million for the 48-acre property, at Reed Hartman Highway and Interstate 275, in May.

Arthur Calamari, of the Bergman Group, represented Equity Group in the purchase and is the exclusive listing agent for the property.

The session will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the presentation room of the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce at Fifth and Walnut streets.

The seminar is free, but registration is required. Call 352-4857 for reservations or more information.
