Cyclones to reward those who quit for day

Thursday, November 19, 1998

The American Cancer Society and the Cincinnati Cyclones are teaming up to recognize people who are successful in not smoking for 24 hours today, Great American Smokeout day.

Smokers who take the pledge, and the buddies who help them through that day, will each receive a ticket to a Cyclones game in February. The date has not been determined.

People who want to quit, or those who want to "adopt" a smoker for the date as a buddy, should call the American Cancer Society to get their pledge. After the pledge is returned, they will receive their tickets.

Information: 891-1600.
