BY The Cincinnati Enquirer

Two Indian Hill art teachers participated in the 1998 Ohio Art Education Association convention in Toledo.

Heather Bollen of Mount Healthy presented a workshop about multicultural art education, with examples of Australian art. She was elected the public relations chairperson for the southwest region.

Mary Golubieski of Montgomery presented 23 art history periods over two days called "5,000 Years of Art History in 20 Easy Lessons." She also held a drawing lesson during the lesson exchange. Mrs. Golubieski is serving as first vice president of the association.

Summit Country Day School junior Jack Cummings of Madeira was selected to represent the region at the national soccer team camp. It will be in July at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Ill. Mr. Cummings was one of 15 athletes chosen out of 1,600 participants in the U.S. during regional competition in Bradenton, Fla., last month. From the team camp, 20 will be selected to the national team pool that feeds the national Olympic team.

Michelle Wysong, a science teacher at Kings High School, has been awarded a Learning Links grant from the Greater Cincinnati Foundation.

The grant, for $994, was awarded to Mrs. Wysong for her project, "A River Runs Through It -- Integration of Math and Science."

She will receive the grant during a ceremony at Memorial Hall on Jan. 11.

Airman Apprentice Andrew P. Biddle, son of Margie Pember, completed Navy basic training in Great Lakes, Ill.

Airman Apprentice Biddle, a graduate of Fairfield High School, was elected the honor graduate in his recruit division at graduation. He has been assigned to Pensacola, Fla., to attend Aviation Warfare Systems Operator "A" School. Congrats runs daily. Call: 752-0500. Fax: 752-8205.
