Two robbery suspects arrested

Four now charged in Jan. 17 home invasion

BY SHEILA McLAUGHLIN
The Cincinnati Enquirer

LEBANON — Two men arrested in a shooting and police chase in Middletown this week are among four suspects now charged in a Jan. 17 home invasion robbery in Warren County.

Sheriff's detectives charged Noel D. Richardson, 19, of Springdale and Roy A. Clark, 25, of South Lebanon with aggravated burglary and robbery.

Warren County detectives think they were among three men who burst into a home on Lake Road in Salem Township, sheriff's Lt. Jerry Mays said Friday.

One of the suspects trained a crossbow on a couple and their teen-age daughter, while the other two rounded up guns, jewelry and money. The residents told deputies the suspects were wearing ski masks, he said.

Also jailed on aggravated burglary and robbery charges in the home invasion is Harley L. Davis, 18, of Wilmington. A fourth suspect, Mike Denny, 19, of Lebanon, faces charges of receiving stolen property and evidence tampering in the home invasion case. Some of the guns were recov ered, Lt. Mays said.

All are due in Warren County Court next week for arraignment.

Mr. Richardson and Mr. Clark were booked into the Butler County Jail early Tuesday after a shooting near the 1200 block of Calumet Avenue in Middletown.

The victim, Frank Holdbrook Sr., 40, was listed in fair condition at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, on Friday.

Mr. Richardson was arrested near the scene of the shooting. Mr. Clark allegedly opened fire on Middletown police from his car during a chase on Ohio 122 onto Interstate 75. A police dog tracked him to a wooded area.
