Six-game win streak snapped
PHILADELPHIA Brian Wesenberg scored two goals, Mark Eaton had a goal and an assist and Jean-Marc Pelletier stopped 27 shots Monday as the Philadelphia Phantoms beat the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks 3-2 in the American Hockey League.
The loss snapped a fran chise-record six-game winning streak for Cincinnati (23-25-0-4). Philadelphia improved to 29-17-1-7. Cincinnati is 2-5-0-1 this season against Philadelphia.
We played very well and with good intensity, Ducks coach Moe Mantha said. We just didn't take advantage of some of our scoring opportuni ties, especially late in the third period. Their goalie made the saves when he had to.
