CYCLONES 6, MICHIGAN 4
Dionne scores hat trick
KALAMAZOO, Mich. Cyclones left wing Gilbert Dionne scored three goals and added an assist in a 6-4 victory at Michigan Saturday night.
The victory pulled Cincinnati to within two points of the Orlando Solar Bears for second place in the IHL's Northeast Division.
The win extended Cincinnati's dominance in the series, as the team has a 19-7-3 mark all-time at K-Wings Stadium.
The Cyclones have won three of the four meetings between the teams this season.
Cyclones center Fred Knipscheer had three points (goal and two assists) and Dionne's linemates, center Todd Simon and right wing Todd Hawkins, each had two points to help pace the attack.
We showed some jump offensively and the special teams gave us a lift, assistant coach Chris Cichocki said.
