Greater Tri-State Animal Rescue and Shelter Network
The following groups are part of a loose-knit coalition that Sherry Drescher calls the Greater Tri-State Animal Rescue and Shelter Network:
Animal Welfare of Northern Kentucky. Promotes spay/neuter and assists unwanted and abused animals. (606) 291-8786.
Creekwood Critters in Indian Hill takes in wounded, abandoned, pregnant or abused animals, primarily cats. Has kittens available for adoption. Francie Pavey at 561-7877.
Dearborn County Animal Rescue. Offers cats for adoption to prescreened homes. .Jody Ward at 786-9215.
Harrison Animal Rescue. Offers animals, mostly cats, for adoption to prescreened homes. 738-5529.
Mount Airy Animal Rescue. Offers animals for adoption to prescreened homes. Consultation on lost/stolen pets. 681-6194.
O'Bryonville Animal Rescue. Offers animals for adoption to prescreened homes. Advises caretakers of feral colonies. Kathleen Nicholson at 871-2466.
Over-the-Rhine Animal Rescue. Offers cats for adoption to prescreened homes. Toni Cashnelli at 721-4700, ext. 3209.
The Scratching Post, 6958 Plainfield Road, Silverton. A cat shelter and adoption center. 984-6369.
Wildwood Pet Network in Fairfield helps reunite owners with their lost animals. Places animals in foster care until owners can be found; otherwise, puts animals up for adoption. Needs foster families. 870-0421.
