Grant County advances in 8th Region

        Grant County outscored Bullitt Central 46-18 in the second half to take control in a 65-46 victory Tuesday in the Eighth Region tournament at Henry County.

        Dustin Mulberry led Grant County with 21 points and Allen Shafer had 17.

        Grant County will face Shelby County in the semifinals Friday night.

        GRANT COUNTY (65) — Shafer 6 4 17, Meade 0 3 3, Jones 4 2 10, Mulberry 7 1 21, Browning 1 0 2, Garrett 5 2 12. Totals: 23 12 65.

        BULLITT CENTRAL (46) — Hall 2 1 5, Ryan 3 3 11, Buege 1 2 5, Rheaume 3 1 7, Alvey 1 3 5, McCovens 4 2 10, Lucas 0 1 1, Kerns 1 0 2. Totals: 15 13 46.

        • Clark County 72, Campbell County 55, 10th Region at Mason County — Clark County went on a 24-9 run in the fourth quarter to break open a close game. The Camels stayed within five points until the 2:30 mark, but Clark County turned up the defense and scored on easy shots to pull ahead.

        Chris Frazier led the fourth quarter charge with nine of his 15 points. Robby Turner led all scorers for Campbell County with 21 points.

        Clark County will face Fleming County in the semifinals Friday night.

        T.J. McKee led Fleming County with 18 points and Bradley McKee had 10. Chez Marks led Paris with 32 points, including six three-pointers.
