One trial ordered in sex-for-favors case
The Cincinnati Enquirer
A Cincinnati police officer accused of having sex with female suspects will have to face all of his accusers at one trial June 7.
A judge ruled Monday that all charges against Kevin Walker, 34, will be heard at the same trial.
Mr. Walker's attorney had sought four trials, one for each accuser.
Judge Arthur Ney, however, said a recent appeals court ruling involving another officer accused of having sex with suspects required him to consolidate the cases.
Mr. Walker is accused of offering not to arrest the women if they agreed to have sex with him.
He was suspended last year after being indicted.
Prosecutors told Judge Ney their evidence includes a record from the computer data terminal in Mr. Walker's cruiser.
They said he called up information about one of the alleged victims on the day he is accused of soliciting her.
Mr. Walker's trial is set for June 7.
