New charges in Covington bank robbery

COVINGTON Four men allegedly responsible for a Feb. 3 bank robbery that resulted in gunshots being exchanged in downtown Covington were indicted on additional charges Wednesday in U.S. District Court.
Antonio Jordan, Donald Evans, Roddrick Blackwell and Duane Finnell face an additional charge of aiding and abetting, which carries a possible sentence of 20 years in prison. All but Mr. Finnell also face an additional charge of convicted felon in possession of firearms, which carries a pos sible sentence of five years in prison.
All already were charged with armed bank robbery, the use of firearms during a crime of violence and conspiring to commit bank robbery, with the possibility of 40 years in prison if convicted.
Mr. Jordan also faces an attempted murder charge in the Kenton County court system for allegedly shooting at Covington Police Officer Mike McGuffey while trying to flee the bank robbery at Fifth Third Bank, at Sixth Street and Madison Avenue.
The officer returned fire. No one was hit.
