Top four Women's Mideast seeds headed to The Shoe

The Cincinnati Enquirer

By beating Xavier on Sunday night, the University of Connecticut won a trip to Cincinnati for the NCAA Women's Mideast Regional in the Shoemaker Center.

No.1 seed UConn joins No.2 seed Clemson, No.3 seed Georgia and No.4 seed Iowa State for games Saturday and Monday.

Game times should be announced today after tournament officials review the brackets.

The winner of Monday's game goes to the Women's Final Four in San Jose, Calif., March 26 and 28.

Tickets for the Shoemaker games are still available. Prices are $25 for adults and $15 for students and cover admission to all three games of the tournament.

Tickets can be purchased by contacting the UC Athletic Ticket Office at (513) 556-2287 or at the Shoemaker Center Ticket Office.
