Penn: I'll return to OSU

The Associated Press

COLUMBUS — Ohio State point guard Scoonie Penn, who has helped carry the Buckeyes to the Final Four, will return for his senior season instead of declaring for the NBA draft.

“I'm thinking next year about coming back here and playing at Ohio State,” Penn said Tuesday. “The NBA has been a dream of mine. But right now, I have no thoughts about leaving college basketball at all.”

Penn, co-player of the year in the Big Ten, is OSU's second-leading scorer at 17 points a game.

Asked if he would change his mind if told he'd go in the first round, he said, “I don't believe everything I hear.”
